With CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4, we introduced the ability to open camera raw files from about 300 various models. With new digital cameras being released on a regular basis, we are committed to updating the models supported with every service pack. SP1 for CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 is scheduled to include support for the following new cameras:

We will also add support for the new matrices from Adobe DNG Converter 4.4. As you can see, some of the cameras listed above don't support capturing pictures in RAW format with the default firmware, but if you have firmware enhancements such as CHDK for Canon cameras installed and take pictures in RAW, you will be able to open the photos directly in Corel PHOTO-PAINT X4. Applying these hacks is something that is not supported by Corel and it's up to you to check how this will impact your camera warranty.

And on the question of when Service Pack 1 will be available for CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4, we are on track to release it sometime early summer 2008. More information about this shortly.
