    Macro - Adding date

Does anyone have a good macro for adding the date and the file name to a page? i've had a hunt on the net but haven't found anything that works with X3, even tried Oberonpalce.

    Re: Macro - Adding date

Thanks Steve, i just want a macro that i can add to my tool bar that when clicked adds the current date and the file name to the top of the page with a font size of approx 16pts, i've made a couple of macros that change my page size or add another saved document to the current document just using the record button but i think this would require some work in VB and i have no clue as to what to do, but even an existing macro that does something similar would be great., the tool on your website looks great, i'll have to try the demo.

    Thanks

    Re: Macro - Adding date

Try this. It should give you...

-NAME OF THE FILE- -DATE- -ADDITIONAL TEXT YOU ADD-

The added text is optional and wont add anything if you dont type in the box. Also if you try to hit the button without saving first it will tell you you need to save first.

     Should work though.

Question is.. how do i upload it or ? :)

    New version! :)

If you download it now, the text will go to the top of the page now matter what size the page is.

     Should work better

Steve just a quick question, i can't seem to run the macro, if i try and run it via tools/ visual basic/ play. its in the list but when i select it it gives me no option to run it, i also can't add it as a button as it doesn't show up in the macros list in the commands/ macros list, any suggestions, i've put the .gms file in the same folder as the other macros.

    Cheers.

Sorry about that. I blame end of the day moronism. I was testing it from the form itself so I never wrote a .show (or loader) It should work now.

     Sorry again
