    Halftone dot (for screen printing)

Anyone know what the default halftone type is?  Also, anyone know the difference between ellipse, ellipseA, ellipseB and ellipseC?  I screen print t-shirts and need the best halftone dot I can get for maximizing detail on screens.  Thanks!

    John,

The default halftone dot is determined by your output device. Remember, it
MUST be a PostScript device if you plan on using halftone screens.

CorelDRAW offers alternative dot shapes if you so desire. Those dots will
override the default of a PostScript device. Again, you MUST have PS to use
    them.

    Hi John

    1. 45-55 lpi
    2. elliptical dots
    3. 25 angle for all screens

4-clr process will require oppo9site angles to prevent moire yet all other prints a 25 angle for all screen swill work just fine

These are pretty much the norm. If manually printing I would suggest staying around 45 lpi as they are easier to manage.

As Foster mentioned you will need a postscript printer or RIP software in order to rint your dots..

    Hope this helps a bit
