BTW: The repeated refresh problem is not just when opening via NNTP in Outlook Express, but also happens after posting from here in the forum page.

Val, can you confirm what Browser (with version) and what OS you are using?

Re: Constant refresh and unable to post from NNTP

This test was done with MozillaSuite 1.7.11, my primary browser, email,
and newsgroup client, but I had the same problems with IE 7.0.5730.11.
Switching to Plain text seems to have fixed the problem in that browser.

I've been able to reproduce the refresh issue and am looking at how to get this solved... in the mean-time, the work-around is to exit the thread and go back into the discussion thread.

The source of this problem has been identified and I hope to be able to get fix ready to go live in the coming days... I'll let you know when it's working.

How's the "refresh" now Val ? Gérard & Co. seem to have nipped it in the bud at this end (w/Outlook Express).

Doing much better now, Ted. Gerard said he's making a couple more tests
then he'll probably announce it "fixed".

The constant refresh problem if you select "Threaded View" instead of "Flat View" in your profile has been fixed (at least as far as I can tell). You can now safely turn on the threaded view option if you prefer going through the forums in that way.

Re: Constant refresh and unable to post from NNTP

I've noticed one other problem with the NNTP usage. Even though I have Email subscriptions disabled in my profile, it gets turned back on for any message I reply to from NNTP. Not a great problem like the constant refresh, but still, not sure it should work that way. Val P.

There are still a few things to look at from the NNTP side... hopefully this will get sorted shortly as well.

Have the same "problem" here but no one is worried. We know you guys are on top of it and a fix will be soon.
