    Help for a beginner....isometric?

Hi ALL, I'm new to using COREL X3, I've been using my friends X3 package but unfortunately he doesn't seem to know much himself!!!! so hopefully someone here can shed some light to my Q. I've drawn a curve and would like to somehow put it on an isometric plane and then extrude it. Is this possible???? Also can this be done for a word aswell? Thanks!!!!!

    Bob,

There is no built-in tool to create an isometric in CorelDRAW. It can be done, but it is many steps.

You might want to download our EZ Metrics utility as it will do EXACTLY what you are describing. One click to make an isometric. One click to extrude on the isometric plane.

The trial is fully functional and free for 14 days.

Another option to EZ Metrics would be Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite 12. This product is based on the same core engine as CorelDRAW, but has been build from the ground up for technical illustration, including projected drawings (isometric, ...), dimensioning, call-outs with halos, hatch fills, ... You can get a trial from the download section on this site or from www.corel.com. And as a CorelDRAW owner, you are eligible to the upgrade price of Corel DESIGNER.

Wouldn't it help just to click twice on your curve and then use the arrows in the middle of every segment to skew it? You could use the CTRL key to constrain the skewing to 15°-increments. That's what I would typically do.
