crash program after migration to new worksstation

I changed from P4 machine to new Core Quad PC. 2 GB RAM. Still working with wXP. Still working with same printers and drivers. Installed CorelDraw12 and updates. Drawing is great. But printing makes the software instable, unsecure. In most cases showing the preview is already shutting down the software. If printing is possible, then it takes a lot of time. What is happing? I did already: printing by different pre-options, installed latest video driver (Nvidia Quatro FX1700, 512 Mb), drawing saved local or saved on network, and more.....

Installed the software back on old machine and everything is working great.

At one point I saw something about bitmap smaller than 96 dpi. But in the past that was never a problem.

Who can help? Can the hardware of the new computer be the problem? Thanks, Jelle

You mentioned you updated your video driver. Have you looked to see if there is a new printer driver out there? I only ask because you said you were still working with the 'same printers and drivers'.

The other thing to try is a workspace reset.  F8 and Launch CorelDraw and overwrite with the default workspace and then try and print. Corrrupt workspaces manifest issues in strange and new ways all the time. It is easy to do and solves many unusual issues.

Hi Rikk, I apologize for the delay in answering you. Thanks for the advice, but they did not have any effect. Latest drivers are in use, workspace is reset, and the problems are still the same. The manufactor Dell asked me if Corel was the only software having problems with printing and shutting down the software. And it is, so they claimed that the hardware is OK.  We placed an old workstation in the network and we use that one for printing. It is bizarre. One option is that in the old drawings some information is misleading the software settings in the new workstation. So if we continue making new drawings on the new computers, maybe the problem will fade out. Thanks again. Jelle
