It's the same since version 1.0, and for most users is one of the greatest advantages. Of course, for programmers it's a problem and a limitation, but if there're too changes in the interface, some people perhaps have problems. Also Photoshop interface has not almost changes since many versions, and Adobe users are happy.
I have been very demanding, and I have been one of the instigators of the change of interface in the present version, but most users don't want too much changes

I never use Transformation docker, except if I need a very special value. I use the double-click on figure and rotate with Ctrl key, or the Propierty bar for exact input. Fast and easy. I use CorelDRAW since version 1.0, and I don't want more buttons... I only need speed and performance.
