    can photopaint run photoshop actions?

    There are a couple of packages I'd like to run in photopaint that are available as photoshop actions (only). Is there a way to easily convert photoshop actions to run in photopaint ?

    "Actions" are the programming language available to Photoshop. They simply
    automate functions of Photoshop. PHOTO-PAINT has both Corel SCRIPT and VBA.
    Overall these are much more powerful than actions. But the simply answer is
    no, you can't convert an action for a wide variety of reasons. That doesn't
    mean that it couldn't be created as a macro in PHOTO-PAINT that was much
    more powerful.

    Good opportunity there to build a macro that converts PS actions to PP scripts.

    Would be nice to know what actions he/or she is talking about, because 99% of them can be very easily duplicated in PP and some already exist in the effects menu.

    Wheee, I don't think there is a chance that anyone would produce a version of that one for PP.

    Why is that? Just too complicated to convert, or too complicated for photopaint to run that long a script?

    Looks like it might use some features that are unique to PS.

    Still it would be good to see if it were possible to translate the PS Actions to PP and which features wouldn't convert.

    IF PP up just a little more up there it might attract the interest of of script and plug-in writers more directly.
