    RGB printer profiles

My current color management system at a client's office has all profile conversion occurring at the RIP level.  All prints sent from applications are sent with the AdobeRGB(1998) profile and then the profile is converted at the RIP to the printer's media specific CMYK profile.  Is there a way to set corel to send prints to a printer with an RGB profile?  I tried deselecting the arrow for the profile conversion flow diagram going to the printer with the working space set to AdobeRGB(1998) hoping that the print would be outputted with the file's colors set to the working space but the prints are coming out incorrect.  It seems that only CMYK profiles are selectable as printer profiles and even if there is no printer output profile selected, it will send the file with a profile other than the working space...

Is there any way to output the files from Corel with AdobeRGB(1998) as the file's color space?

    Re: RGB printer profiles

Maybe, duplicating the Adobe work flow of allowing the printer to handle color in a non-postscript environment is very difficult. It really is only possible in non-postscript environments for files that contain only RGB content as without selecting a profile for the composite printer Corel has noway of allowing conversions of non-RGB elements of the file in the print stream.

http://www.coreldrawpro.com/AllBookstore.htm   is a link to my book on Corel colo rmanagement that explains Corel color workflows in detail.  You've got me thinking and I may have come up with something.  My e-mail is davidmilisock@comcast.net  I'm East coast U.S. time.

If your work flow is postscript like a Canon Fiery then this can be done but we need to have some more detailed discussions before I cang ive you any instructions of value.
