I mainly am using NNTP to access the site yet need to visit the forums for my blog, gallery and other reasons. If I read a post or posts and then visit the forums via web all the posts show as not read. Would be nice to have a "mark all read" command to help distinguish which posts I have read and which ones are new since I visited the site.
Just a helpful tool :)
As far as I know, there is no way to get a link between what you've read in your newsgroup client and what will be displayed as unread on the web forums. As mentioned in another post, all the management of what you've read or not is done by your NNTP client if that's the way you read the forums, while it's managed by the server if that is your method of taking part in the forums. Think of it as if you had two computers accessing the same newsgroups... you wouldn't be able to see which ones are read or not on both machines as this is completely separate. Not sure how much it would take to implement a button on the web site to mark all the messages as read if you go there right after having gone through the forums with your newsgroup software, and how to make that working for every situation.

Hello Richard,
fluid:I understand the issue with nntp. I was just seeing if this site could have a mark all posts as read. That way if I visit the forum via web (I already read the posts via nntp) I can mark them all read on the forums site.
Thank you for clarifying... I understand very well what you mean. You can actually mark all the messages in a specific forum as read with the web interface, but you cannot do so across all the forums at this stage. To mark a specific forum as read, go to the forum, click on the more options button and select "Mark all read".
As a side note, did you notice the "Posts you have not read" link in the upper right corner (Shortcuts) on coreldraw.com/forums/ ?
