When I click new from template, I find that there are only six templates. Could anyone tell me why?

The trial and the default installer on the DVD both only include a limited number of templates, due to file size. When installing CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 from the DVD, you can go to the extra tab and choose all the templates, content, ... to be installed on your computer. Alternatively, you can install the templates and/or content separately by using the extra installer on the X4 DVD (I believe it is the second option in the auto-run window).

 I'm using the Dutch version (for Netherlands and Flamish part of Belgium).
In the map Extra I also see both installers, but next step is different.
I cannot choose any option for extra templates.

Are these templates only in English/American?

There is no reason why these templates cannot be installed in the Dutch version of CorelDRAW. From memory, all the templates should be translated, but even if they are not, you should still get access to the English templates with the Dutch version.

 Hi,

I'm also using the dutch version of Corel Draw X4. The templates for newsletters etc are indeed empty, although I installed the "Extra's".
