I just bought a new laptop with Windows Vista. I'm almost afraid to ask...will Corel Draw 10 work with Windows Vista? I can't afford a new Corel program right now. I don't want to have to learn how to run anything else NEW right now, either!!!
Thank you,
Bonnie
It will install if you disable UAC in the control panel.
If you chose to reenable UAC after your install, you might have to "Right Click" on the Draw and PPaint executable files and select the box to run them in compatibility mode.

Hi Bonnie
I have bee running Vista with CorelDraw/Photo-Paint 10 for approx. 6 months now and all is well with the world.
Regards
Maria
I'm also unable to install CorelDraw 10 on my new desktop running Windows Vista, so this sounds like it may be worth a try.
What is UAC, and whereabouts in the control panel will I find it?
Thanks
Wendy
UAC is short for User Account Control. It is found in the Users section fo the Control Panel. It is what makes those annoying boxes pop up all the time and what keeps software from executing properly.
Thanks for the explanation - so simple when you know how!!
I had (with a lot of messing about) already managed the installation via a different route, as follows:
Go to Control Panel/Programs then under the heading 'Programs and Features' click 'Use an older program with this version of Windows'. This runs the 'Program Compatibility Wizard' which allows you to select your previous operating system (which your software ran ok on), thus allowing the installation to continue.
Your method is probably less long-winded, so I will try that first when I attempt to install my old version of Sage Accounts!!
