Re: Corel Draw 12 and vista

Hi Doc! Not to worry about posting on this old thread, except that it may not get as many readers as you'd like. I haven't seen anyone with experience on version 11 and Vista. If the solution for installing/running 12 doesn't work, I'm afraid you may be stuck. You did try installing it in compatibility mode?

I'm in and out of touch with the web right now. We just moved and the computers aren't hooked up. Using an old laptop to check email and your message got sent to me because I'd marked the thread before.

There is quite a bit of difference between 11 and X4. I know it's expensive, but if you're on a Vista machine, I'd say the money is probably worth it if you use CorelDRAW on any regular basis. There were a lot of new features added in both 12 and X3 that made productivity a lot easier for many folks. X4 has better integration with Vista and has some new ways of handling text and layers.

Let us know how it goes. Looks like you figured out how to post in the version 11 forum. :) Hopefully someone who has experience with 11 and Vista will come to your rescue.

    Have fun!

    Val P.
