Hi,

Been trying to create an object (curve, text, anything...) and then clone it so I just have to change it in one place...

All goes well if both CONTROL and CLONE object (or objects) are on the same page.

If I copy or move CLONES form one page to another they loose the connection to the CONTROL object and become plain objects.

Any way to do this?

My cloning works.  Did you get this in several documents?  Have you tried in a new blank page to see if is not maybe your document that is corrupt? 

 Why you don't use Symbol instead Clone? (Edit / Symbol / New symbol..)

Are you sure??? Just tried it again...

Create a new document and add an extra page to it...

Then on Page1 create some text and clone it...

Copy the clone to Page2...

The new copy looses de Clone attribute and becomes just "Artistic text"...

It looks like the CONTROL and the CLONE have to be on the same page...

It really works like a clone and I'll have to use that way if the "real" clone doesn't work...

However the real clone would be better and more "user friendly" than using symbols.

But if you are a hunter and don't have a dog, you must hunt with your cat!

I think I know now what the problem is, you're trying to clone paragraph text, you can't.  You can clone artistic text but not paragraph text. 

If you COPY, go to another page and paste, the Clone break apart. The same happens if you copy and paste the Clone object in the same page. You must move the Clone outside the page, to the Desktop, switch to another page, and move the clone inside the page

I have exported the created image in Windows Bitmap. The output is not very great. Can anybody tell me how to increase the clarity. The image has been created in Page resolution of 72 dpi only. Please help

Try another format, like JPG, PNG or TIF

In the Export dialog, use a higher resolution, for example 200 or 300  dpi

This file is very small - 19x18px = about 1.1x1.5mm.  Try exporting as 300 to 600dpi (it will still be a small file size with such a small image but with better clarity.  You can even play a bit with compression - if you export as jpg, you can do a lot more with compression than in bitmap.  You can try exporting to office (png) as well and select commercial printing as output, this is usually a good quality image but file extension all depends on what the file is supposed to be used for.

Nope... the problem is not related to the type of object, it's related to having CONTROL TEXT and CLONE on DIFFERENT PAGES.

Ariel gave me the solution. Very nice...
