Transparent .gif background NOT transparent in WPX4 and is transparent in WPX3

    I have WPOX4 installed.

When I import / insert a transparent signature .gif into WPX4, it is a white box and not transparent. Opening a X3 document (into X4) that includes a transparent background signataure .gif, it is displayed correctly, over text and with transparent background.

Inserting the same image into an WPX4, the image background is not transparent AND I find no way to make its background transparent in WPX4. This transparency works and displays correctly in WPX3.

How do I create / use a transparent background signature .gif (or other format) image to use in WPX4 ???

I'm not having these transparent background signature image problems with WPX3. WPX3 works correctly when inserting transparent .gif images.

Is this a 'broken' feature in WPX4? Or how to do this. How do I export / save as a transparent image and in what format so WPX4 will acknowledge and render the background transparent?

    Hi,

When you ask about WPX4 which I gather is the Word PERFECT X4 software, I recomend you to go to that specific forum. The Word Perfect Office community/lightning website and forum is: http://lightning.communityserver.com/

This forum is about the graphic programs.
