Need Help with gradient fill color.

    I am creating a label, I drew straight lines to form a sort of rectangle with a open "mouth" in the top ( line ). then I placed a curve in this mouth area and clicked "Arrange - Shaping - Weld" and got a new shape. now I want to gratient fill this new shape, so I clicked on the FILL TOOL - FOUNTAIN FILL DIALOG choose my colors, etc but I do not see any color, I tried arrange button to bring to the front but nothing happened.

    HELP !

    Hi Kurt,

    Sounds to me like your shape isn't "closed". You need to select your object, go to the Arrange menu, and select "Close Path" at the bottom of the list. There will be a few options to choose from. Play around and select the one that works best for your purpose. I'm on version X3, so I hope it works the same way for you in version 12. Hope that helps! Let me know how you make out.
