    Drop shadows on keylined text

Has any body noticed that when you dropshadow text with a keyline that the shadow only appears on the keyline?

The fix is to use the contour tool.

    Another bug?

    on the keyline

When you write keyline I am assuming you mean outline? I have no problem… (That's actually a cool looking effect)

Chris, to me, it looks like you converted the outline to an object........and then applied the drop shadow to the outline only.

I seem to recall that there was a bug related to this at one point.  Are you running X4 sp1?

Yes, it was a bug about this. You need to install the ServicePack

anyway, this bug only happens if you use the "Behind Fill" option. A workaround is dont't use behind fill, and to create a duplicate without outline in front of the original text (press the + key in the numeric keypad). It's only happens with text, does not affect to other objects

Well I have applied SP1 again and still same result!

As you say it only appears on text with the outline set to behind the fill.

Though if you break them apart and powerclip the "Funky" outline shadow inside the text you get a nice 3D effect.
