    Hi Jilly,

I tried to open it in X3. Draw crashed and burned. I then tried to import it. It worked, but  all I got were two black squares rotated 45 degrees and  big blank area with no visible objects (which turned out to be 46 CMYK bitmaps). Sorry, but I guess I can't help you on this. Good luck!

    Jilly,

There is no way to convert the file to keep the mesh fills editable in the
    same way as Illustrator.

You have two choices. A bunch of small pieces that do have editable mesh
fills or each object as a separate bitmap.

Mesh fills will not import from Illustrator into draw and remain editable.

Try saving the AI file as a PDF, then open it in Draw. You still won't have editable mesh fills, but the file will be usable.

By the way, Corel mesh fills are not editable in Illustrator either.

Re: Need help .Ai file into Corel

Once you have saved the AI file as a PDF file in Illustrator, go to CorelDraw File>Open. In the dialog go to the "File of Type:" drop-down and scroll down to PDF - Adobe Portable Document and then navigate to the file and open it as you would a Draw file. Make your option selections and it should open unless there is security or errors in the file.

You can also import PDF files. Just use the same steps except go to File>Import.

    Hope this helps...
