              I want to import AI vector file into corel draw but it seemed not possible to me, i did try with .ai, .eps , .pdf files but its not working with corel draw. Is there any way to do that

Hi Ilvlludassar,

I import AI files often into CorelDraw with little problem.  Are you sure your using the "Import" command and not the "Open" comand (File/ Import) ?

              Please accept my thanks for concering my question , yes i did try to import and open AI file into corel draw 9 and 12 but it did not work at all. Is there any other possible file format which i can export from Ai and import in corel draw:?

First, the AI file is probably compressed. Corel does not handle compress AI files very well. And if it was from Adobe CS3, Corel 12 is too old to recognize an uncompressed CS3 AI file.

If you export the file(s) from Adobe, either as a pdf or an eps file, then you should easily import them into Corel.

Most AI files import ok, but as an alternative you can save the file as a PDF from Illustrator you will be able to import it into Draw.

Is there a specific error message you are recieving when you attempt to import the AI file?

             Thank you very much for your kind help, issue has been sloved, the problem was i was trying to import  AI CS3 files into corel 12 , which seemed impossible on my end however i did try to import AI CS file into corel 12 and it did work. Hopefully i will download lateast version of corel draw

Good to hear!  We have improved AI import in CGS X4 and it does support AI CS3 as well.
