Removing image backgrounds fast....How do i?

Hey I was flicking through some junk mail today, and all the catalogues the pictures have been like powerclipped.

Man that would be a pain in the a** to do.  eap and heaps of pictures.

I need to do that with a stack of images for an ecommece site.  But tracing and powerclipping takes way to long.

Is there a faster way?  You can use a green screen when filming to remove backgrounds, what about when taking stills.  Can my version of CorelDRAW12 do this?

Either way how do I remove the background quicker?

    Thanks

Monstermerge can do it - from one to thousands of pics - to make the following projects easy:

    • Product catalogs

    • Template based business cards

    • PDF's with web links assigned to images

    • Athletic profiles with statistics

    • Advertisements

    • Reference posters

    • Student/staff lists

       Much, Much more...

It can assign urls to the pics or any part of each product - to create clickable PDF's and web sites.

I'll have a demo for it within a month, but it's working and for sale now

    Hi Jeff,

Can you explain a bit more on how the macro works to remove the backgrounds? Is it similar to Paint Shop Pro's background removal tool?

    hi A,

Oops, read the post again and I was talking about was placing the images, not knocking them out.

It's suspect it's possible for automated green screen removal through a macro in Draw.

But I'd either mask with magic wand in PP, or powerclip in Draw for best results, depending on the object.

Corel Photo Paint let you deal with channels in different color modes. They are the faster way you will find to mask the image and remove the background.

Do you know how to work with ClipMasks?

Do you know how to turn a channel into a mask?

Do you know how to use the Tone Curve to increase contrast?
