Hello,
When I make a mask in Corel PP X4, it isn't red like in X3.
Do you know how I can change that ?
Thanks :)
Hi
Checkout with Overlay Mask under Mask. This option will overlay your mask with Transperant red colour.
A big thanks for you
It's ok I have my red mask
You can also change the color using Options>display>mask tint

Hi inaja, I have this in X3, when I have pasted an object into PP, with no background in the document. Create a background, and maybe the mask could be visible.

hi mo!!!
when i used the same method in x3, the red layer appeared even without any backgrounds...emm or maybe my photopaint is the problems...hehehe (very confusing)...anyway, thanx mo
H Inaja,
Sorry you like red overlay, it's first thing i turn off. :-)
I use Paint on mask instead to see my mask quickly as greyscale representation. Press CTRL+K to toggle in and out.
inaja:the red layer appeared
hi jeff!!! i'm in love with that red layer!!!hahaha... actually that red layer makes me to be more carefull in my works...for example; if i want to use a "bevel effects"...i've to apply a mask first...eventhough the mask is still being apply only without colour in my x4, just feel like something is missing... maybe co'z i used it so much in x3 and it used to be red...hehehe err...that ctrl + k, what does it do again???when i paste an object in photopaint, then press ctrl + k, it's gone...then press again and the object appeared...just like magic ...in malay they says "kejap ada, kejap tidak ada"...hehehe everyone have their own way of doing things...but still, i love that red layer...thanx jeff for repliying
It is paint on mask mode, shows you your mask in grayscale, see example here
make a mask first so you understand what you are seeing
