Re: Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite X4 announced

    G'day Gérard,
    Two questions:

    1.  Does the trial version interfere with / overwrite the the technology preview version?  Should the preview version be uninstalled before installling the trial?

    2.  Do you know if there will be a "boxed" academic version?  I ask this because getting hold of the academic licence and media for version 12 here in Australia was a major hassle because the local distributors knew nothing about it.

    cheers
    Bill

I highly recommend you uninstall the technology preview version. There are 3 different things you will need to uninstall: Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite, Corel DESIGNER Shell Extensions and Right Hemisphere Deep Exploration. You might want to restart your computer then. When you install the trial, you will get the final version of each of these installed on your computer.

We will have boxes for full and upgrades in various countries around the world, as well as academic versions in a DVD case. I believe that these will also be available in Australia. The other option you will have is to purchase a serial number from your local Corel eStore (we have one in Australia) and activate your trial.

The technology preview version and the final release cannot be installed at the same time. You need to uninstall the technology preview first in order to install and evaluate the trial version.

There will be an academic "box" product for Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite X4. It wil be a DVD case only (no printed manual inside).
