Hi Guys, it's me again. I am trying to create gloss button in corel draw it looks fine on screen but when i print, it looks gross while my other colleauge is making same thing in adobe illustator and its coming out very well from same printer. Perhaps i am doing wrong some where could you show me how to create gloss buttons such like corel x3 icons.

In Steve's tutorial, I can get the round button but cannot get the capsule button. The first step creating the rounded rectangular is already different - with the dimension suggested, I get a more bullet like (sharper ends) shape. And in creating the third shape, I get a very white lower edge rather than light cyan.

I take it that your question is more about the fact that Corel is printing out bad images of your buttons? well color management is not one of Corel's virtues. export your files from DRAW as .psd and then try printing them from photoshop. also when creating the buttons in DRAW work with CMYK colors only. when rendering things in RGB everything tends to have smoother gradients and higher contrast, but when you print it out the RGB is converted to CMYK and banding in color gradients will occur.
