    Problems re- installing X3

I am re-installing X3 on on XP machine. This after I unistalled the program completely to make room for another (time to get a new machineSad). I am getting this error, "Error 1316. A Network error occured while attempting to read the file C:\Windows\Installer\EN.msi".

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Re: Problems re- installing X3

    Hi Bill,

This message usually means a previous installation of a software is getting in the way of the new installation. The fix is to download a free program from Microsoft that will totally and completely remove the old software.  Then the new version can load unimpeded. I have never used it myself, so I can't say it will work or not. HERE is the link, if you want to give it a try. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately this did not help. I have posted the question with Corel support to see what they have to say.

    Re: Problems re- installing X3

    Hi Bill,

That's too bad. I was hoping it would save the day =) Like I said, I haven't run that app myself yet. I hope to try it, to resolve some issues here at work. Hope I have better luck with it! If you don't mind, can you let me know what Corel has to say about it?

    Sorry I couldn't help.

    Paul
