    Cannot download trial

I don't know whether anyone else has tried to download the trial, but every time I get the message "The download did not pass the integrity check".  The (US version) download from the "Corel Download Manager" option finishes at "381.42 MB of 327.10 MB" - wierd!  It all downloaded in about 3 minutes from my connection at work - with the countdown timer going into negative seconds!  I have just started the "download.com" option but it is painfull slow (prediction is 2 hours) - but does report that the file size is supposed to be 381.42 MB.  I suspect that the Corel download manager is checking for the wrong file size.  I've also just tried the "International English etc." version and it does exactly the same thing.  I have also tried this from my dsl connection at home with the same result.

Corel might want to fix this if they want anyone to try this software.

    cheers

    Re: Cannot download trial

    Gérard,
I've just tried again - and this time for some reason the link (for the International English version) took me to Corel's UK site, which did not use the download manager, and so I successfully downloaded the international English version.
    cheers

    Re: Cannot download trial

There is an issue with the Download Manager that is used for the trial download right now.

You should be able to download after the installation of the Download Manager (ActiveX control in Internet Explorer) failed with an Error message "Installation corrupt".

On the download page that is presented then you will see a phrase "If the download doesn't start, please click here." with the direct link to download the file to your harddrive.

I will update this post once the issue with the Download Manager has been fixed.

Sorry for the inconvenience in downloading the trial version of Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite X4!

    Best regards,
    Klaus.

    Re: Cannot download trial

While trying to access any information about or download trial software I get a grey star icon, rotating like the JAVA loading Symbol. As far as I can tell nothing is installing or asking permission for installation.

Could you tell me what application or addin you are using, and If you can suggest an alternate download location for trial versions.

I cannot view the direct link to these downloads

    Cheers,

    Michael

    Re: Cannot download trial

There has been an issue with the Download Manager AddIn on corel.com for a few days. All users that have tried to download products during that time have a corrupt version of the download manager installed.

The problem has been solved but for those users that have the corrupted version of that AddIn installed it means you need to uninstall this download manager from IE in order to access the trial download successfully again.

Please take a look at this entry in the Corel Support Knowledgebase that contains details on how to uninstall the Download Manager in Internet Explorer.

After that step you should not experience any problems with downloading Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite X4 trial any more.

    Best regards,
    Klaus
