I find it useful at home also. It works well for designing and documenting. For modifying or designing I often take a straight-on photo of the object I'm designing around or modifying and load it into a Draw page. Knowing just one dimension of the object, I scale the Draw page to a size to fit the project then scale the photo so that the known dimension matches the page scale. From there, many other dimensions in the photo and added design objects can be determined using Draw tools.
Recently I tried to find out why a 4 wheeler won't start; there's no ignition spark. Because of all the safety considerations, the wiring is complicated and I was easily confused. I needed a wiring diagram and turned to Draw.

Still haven't figured it out!
I would like to use Designer but it's pretty pricey isn't it? About a grand?
