I found a few major glitches in the program.

When opening a ver. 12 des drawing, the program may show progress...then freezes for and indefinate amount of time.

When breaking apart a dimension, the hard drive light is steadily blinking for about 5 or more minutes, then the program continues to function.

I could not reproduce that with a file and a few dimensions I created with Corel DESIGNER X4.
I also tried with an older (DESIGNER 12) file with different dimension objects - all worked fine with breaking the dimension objects apart.

Is that reproducible on your side with a specific file only or can you explain the steps in more detail that lead to this issue?

The same applies to Corel DESIGNER 12 drawings opened with Corel DESIGNER X4. There shouldn't be any compatibility issues between the product versions and we haven't seen any / reproduced such an issue yet.

Note: The technology preview version that was released beginning of June did not use the final file format of Corel DESIGNER X4. Files that you have created and saved with that version should be saved as v.12 DES file before you install the final release of Corel DESIGNER X4 and open these files again.

Unfortunately this bug is a bit dodgy.  The freeze up happens under different circumstances so it might be difficult to reproduce.

There is another issue I want to point out.

When starting Designer X4, the welcome screen shows up and if you click on the 'updates' and then 'settings', you come to the page with the update notify and auto download settings.  But, for some reason you can't do anything else one you come to this area.  You will notice that you can't close out of the page and return to the other parts like 'What's New' and such.

The only way to get out of this is to hit ESC on your keyboard but this is not a good way to navigate around the welcome screen as it completely closes all of it.
