    Question about codeweavers

Hello.  I have a question about this cross-over application for my ibook.  I am currently running using Parallels Desktop to run Corel X3 but I find it to be a

hassle.  Anyone here use codeweavers and if so what are your thoughts?  I started using Coreldraw 8 and would like to continue using Corel X3 as I am

a lot more comfortable with it than I am AI.  Just want to smooth things out!  Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Ive heard good things about Parallels, but i know there can be some cross compatability issues. Is it specifically that you need to have a windows environment in a window as I would have thought Bootcamp would have offered the best compatability

    Re: Question about codeweavers

I'm using BootCamp and Windows XP Pro on a MacPRO for a year and a half now... basically turns it in to a Windows machine... My sense is that Windows runs just as well through BootCamp as native... sometimes I think even better. I use dozens of Windows programs, including Corel Suite X3... usually no less than 6 programs and often 8 or 10 open simultaneously with multiple files running in some of them. Runs great... rarely have any System hangs or even program lockups. Tried to use Parallels but I would have needed to install it before Windows. At any rate, I read it was quite a Resource hog to try and run both OS's simultaneously, which makes sense. And so I don't. And really rarely use the built-in Apple software anyway... just play some DVD's and do some browsing once in a while. Whenever I get tired of looking at the Windows GUI I can just switch over for awhile. A change is almost as good as a rest.
