Kiss Of The Sphynx

As a boy I have seen the Painting "Kiss Of The Sphynx" of Franz von Stuck and I was overwelmed. Since this day I've tried to catch the expression of this masterpiece and to interprete it in every technique I've learned: in Acrylics, Oil, Pastell, Watercolors and Carbon...I failed several dozen times, for years.

Now, after more than sixteen years of try and fail on this picture, I've created this painting above in Photopaint. I am so happy that I've made a dream come through - only with patience over the years, my hands, an iron will and Photopaint.

The Vector Jedi

I was inspired by the works of Phil Hale and John Foster and I have made everything completely different to what I've learned about composition, perspective, viewpoint, viewangle, colors etc. But I am happy with the result. Update: At least I wasn't happy with the background, and I have added some ArtisticMedia stokes to bring out the painted look. This is my Contribution to the spanish contest "Concurso de Diseño 2008". Thanks to Ariel for the Link/Invitation!

Just a test. I've scripted a few macros to shortcut my workflow when I work with ArtisticMedia Tool. Now it's possible for me to "paint" in draw with those macros! And I really love it!
