I copied Paul a bit by posting an unfinished drawing, I have been working on this for a while. I am trying to create the most detailed drawing of a car I have done yet. I am not going for photo real, I try and achieve a more "airbrushed" style.

The drawing is actually alot more finished than this but I didnt want to give to much away (incase it turns out crap) but I am rather chuffed with my wheel, it took a few hours but I think I nailed it.

I am only using solid or gradient fills with uniforn & linier transparencies.

I almost wish I had not decided to draw the engine aswell. Its going to take ages (more) to finish..I just hope its worth it!

I still love the old school airbrushed car illustrations from the late eighties, I think yours will become a good tribute! To start with lesser details might be the best choice, you'll see what has to be added later. And don't be afraid if it take ages to finish: my recent painting took more than sixteen years to become what it is now! (have a look at my gallery).

I'm looking forward to the result!

Nice STI Josh. Can't wait to see the finished version. =)

I know how you feel about getting motivated after a long day at work. I'm in the same boat, PLUS I have a Succubus to further demotivate me...hehe
