I cannot figure out how to convert a scanned bitmap or jpeg of line art into a Hairline object or bitmap. I can only cut a line on a laser engraver if it is a Hairline (vector, for engraving cuts as opposed to raster which ony engraves on the surface) I know I could redraw the image on another layer...
